Ramallah - 8/20/2024 The Director of the Customs Police in the Ramallah, Al-Bireh and Jerusalem Suburbs Directorates, Brigadier General Wael Al-Anati, received today, Tuesday in his office, the Director of Civil Defense, Brigadier General Yazan Youssef Omar and his accompanying delegation.
During the meeting, many issues were discussed that would enhance the complementarity of work and joint cooperation.
In another context, during inspection tours of shops and markets: the customs control apparatus, in cooperation with the competent authorities in the Ministries of National Economy and Health, seized, today, Tuesday, in Ramallah and Al-Bireh Governorate, approximately a quarter of a ton of food items unfit for consumption; As a result of its expiration date, its use may result in significant health risks to consumers.
In view of this, the competent authority decided to destroy the quantity in healthy and safe ways and to complete the legal procedures in due course.
