The Customs Police Department dealt with 84 cases during the past week in cooperation with partner agencies
The most prominent ones are as follows:
49 cases, in cooperation with the Ministry of Finance, with the aim of improving state revenues and supplying the treasury with funds, during which they dealt with:
- 31 tax and customs cases and transfer of taxpayers to the Ministry.
- 6 cases of goods coming from Israel that did not carry a clearing invoice.
- 12 cases in the field of smuggled tobacco banned from circulation.
29 cases in cooperation with the Ministries of National Economy and Health to prevent the spread of illegal goods and settlement goods and to protect the nutritional health of citizens, the most prominent of which are:
- 1 ton of food and cleaning materials that violated instructions and were delivered to the competent authorities.
- 650 kg of expired foodstuffs, cosmetics, and cleaning materials were seized, 55 kg of [chicken wings], and 200 kg of food supplies (cheese) not fit for consumption, and all of the seized items were destroyed.
- 12 packages of sexual stimulants banned from circulation by the Ministry of Health.
5 cases were arrested in cooperation with the Ministry of Agriculture
- 5,500 broiler birds, approximately 11 tons of agricultural plant products, 400 kg of grapes without an agricultural permit, and 260 liters of agricultural pesticides that did not have licenses and were delivered to the competent authorities.
One case in cooperation with the Ministry of Communications:
During which 40 unlicensed postal parcels were seized and delivered to the competent authorities.
