The Customs Police Department dealt with 68 cases during the past week in cooperation with partner agencies, most notably as follows:
31 cases in cooperation with the Ministry of Finance with the aim of improving state revenues and providing the treasury with funds, during which the following were dealt with:
- 22 tax and customs cases and transferring taxpayers to the ministry.
- 8 cases of goods coming from Israel that do not carry a clearing invoice.
- A case in the field of smuggled and prohibited tobacco.
33 cases in cooperation with the Ministries of National Economy and Health to prevent the spread of illegal goods and settlement goods and protect the food health of citizens, most notably:
- 1160 kg of food and cleaning materials in violation of instructions and were handed over to the competent authorities.
- 790 kg of expired food and cleaning materials were seized and all the seized items were destroyed.
- 1350 liters of juice dye of unknown origin and 11796 liters of water pending examination and were handed over to the competent authorities.
- 519 packages of sexual stimulants and 643 pills not licensed by the Ministry of Health.
3 cases in cooperation with the Ministry of Agriculture during which
- 4 cows and a thousand cartons of eggs were seized without an agricultural transport permit
- 150 kg of olives in violation of mandatory instructions and were handed over to the competent authorities
One case in cooperation with the Ministry of Communications:
- 53 unlicensed postal parcels were seized and were handed over to the competent authorities.
