Customs Police Holds a Series of Working Meetings with Local Authorities in Jenin to Enhance Market Control

Ramallah - 10/8/2024 Based on the directives of the Commander of the Customs Police Department, Major General/ Iyad Barakat: The Director of the Customs Police in Jenin Governorate, Brigadier General/ Raed Al-Tirawi, and the Director of the Customs Police Center in Mithloun, Captain/ Muhammad Ghabariya, held a series of meetings today, Tuesday, with a number of heads of local authorities in Jenin Governorate, including the Mayor of Mithloun, Mr. Hamad Rabaya, the Head of the New Council, Mr. Sami Qishtum, and the Head of the Siris Council, Mr. Yousef Abu Hasib.

During these meetings, the heads of local authorities praised the presence of the Customs Police Center in the town of Mithloun, and it was agreed to enhance joint cooperation between the two sides. It was also agreed to organize joint field tours with the Municipal Health Department and local councils, with the aim of monitoring shops and ensuring that they are free of damaged and non-conforming materials.

This cooperation comes within the framework of efforts to enhance control and protect citizens, and ensure the safety of products traded in local markets.
