The Customs Police Department dealt with 62 cases during the past week
The most prominent of which are as follows
33 cases in cooperation with the Ministry of Finance with the aim of improving state revenues and providing the treasury with funds, during which the following were dealt with:
- 19 tax and customs cases and transferring taxpayers to the ministry.
- 5 cases of goods coming from Israel that do not carry a clearing invoice.
- 9 cases of smuggled and banned tobacco.
26 cases in cooperation with the Ministries of National Economy and Health to prevent the spread of illegal goods and settlement goods and protect the food health of citizens, the most prominent of which are:
- Approximately 2.5 tons of expired food and mineral water were seized and destroyed.
- 224 packages of expired cosmetics were seized
- 213 packages and 5 kg of banned sexual stimulants were seized and handed over to the competent authorities.
- 3 kg of food items were seized for violating mandatory instructions
3 cases in cooperation with the Ministry of Agriculture:
- One and a half tons of dates were transported without an agricultural transport permit
- 2 cows were seized without an agricultural transport permit and were handed over to the competent authorities.
- 210 kg of frozen chicken unfit for consumption and were destroyed.
