The Customs Police Department dealt with 81 cases during the past week in cooperation with partner agencies
The most prominent of which are as follows
62 cases in cooperation with the Ministry of Finance with the aim of improving state revenues and providing the treasury with funds, during which the following were dealt with:
- 40 tax and customs cases and transferring taxpayers to the ministry.
- Two cases of goods coming from Israel that do not carry a clearing invoice.
- 20 cases in the field of smuggled and prohibited tobacco
14 cases in cooperation with the Ministries of National Economy and Health to prevent the spread of illegal goods and settlement goods and protect the food health of citizens, the most prominent of which are:
- Seizure of approximately 15 and a half tons of food and 5400 liters (sun oil), all of which are in violation of mandatory instructions
- Seizure of 155 kg of expired food unfit for human consumption and destroyed
3 cases in cooperation with the Ministry of Agriculture:
- During which 22 calves were seized without an agricultural transport permit and were handed over to the competent authorities.
One case in cooperation with the Ministry of Communications and Digital Economy, during which:
- Postal parcels weighing 15.5 kg were seized without licenses and were delivered to the competent authorities.
One case in cooperation with the Environment Quality Authority, during which:
- 32 tanks containing cleaning materials and environmental waste were seized and returned to their source.
