The Customs Police Department dealt with 54 cases during the past week in cooperation with partner agencies, most notably as follows:
32 cases in cooperation with the Ministry of Finance with the aim of improving state revenues and providing the treasury with funds, during which they dealt with
- 16 tax and customs cases and transferring taxpayers to the ministry.
- 10 cases of goods coming from Israel that do not carry a clearing invoice.
- 6 cases in the field of smuggled and prohibited tobacco.
19 cases in cooperation with the Ministries of National Economy and Health to prevent the spread of illegal goods and settlement goods and protect the food health of citizens, most notably: -
- Seizure of nearly 4 tons of expired food and cleaning materials and 180 kg of broiler chickens unfit for human consumption.
- Nearly 3 tons of food products that violate mandatory instructions.
- 3.5 kg of sexual materials and 84 kg of herbs that do not have licenses from the competent authorities.
Two cases in cooperation with the Ministry of Agriculture during which: -
- 10.4 tons of vegetables were seized without an agricultural transport permit and were handed over to the competent authorities.
One case in cooperation with the Ministry of Communications and Digital Economy during which: -
- 38 unlicensed telecommunications routers were seized and were handed over to the competent authorities.
