Customs Police Participate in an Inspection Tour of Date Factories in Jericho and Jordan Valley Governorate

Ramallah_11/21/2024 In the presence of Jericho and Jordan Valley Governor Dr. Hussein Hamayel: The Customs Police Department, represented by the Deputy Director of the Jericho and Jordan Valley Directorate, Major/ Abdul Rahman Basharat, participated today, Thursday, in an inspection tour of date factories in the village of Al-Jiftlik in Jericho and Jordan Valley Governorate, with the participation of a number of representatives of official bodies, local community institutions, and the security establishment.
His Excellency the Governor Dr. Hamayel stressed during the tour that Palestinian date factories represent an honorable model that reflects the ability of the Palestinian private sector to protect the national product and strengthen the local economy by producing high-quality dates capable of competing in the markets. He added that the efforts made by these companies are the first line of defense against settlement goods, which contributes to strengthening their boycott.
This tour aims to enhance the partnership between the public and private sectors, and encourage local factories to adhere to health and environmental standards, to ensure the provision of distinctive products to local and global markets.
