The Customs Police Department dealt with 62 cases during the past week in cooperation with partner agencies
The most prominent of which are as follows
31 cases in cooperation with the Ministry of Finance with the aim of improving state revenues and providing the treasury with funds, during which the following were dealt with:
- 18 tax and customs cases and transferring taxpayers to the ministry.
- 6 cases of goods coming from Israel that do not carry a clearing invoice.
- 7 cases of smuggled and banned tobacco.
27 cases in cooperation with the Ministries of National Economy and Health to prevent the spread of illegal goods and settlement goods and protect the food health of citizens, the most prominent of which are:
- About 450 kg of expired food items were seized and destroyed.
- 9.1 tons of table eggs and cleaning materials were seized unfit for consumption.
- 765 kg of food supplements and 47 packages of unlicensed sexual materials were seized and handed over to the competent authorities.
- 1776 packages of laughing gas banned from circulation and handed over to the competent authorities.
3 cases in cooperation with the Ministry of Agriculture:
- During which 2800 birds, 287 trays of table eggs and 20 calves were seized, all of which were transported without an agricultural transport permit and were handed over to the competent authorities.
One case in cooperation with the Ministry of Communications and Digital Economy during which:
- 21 unlicensed postal parcels were seized and were handed over to the competent authorities.
