Ramallah - 9/12/2024 - Under the patronage of President Mahmoud Abbas: The Customs Police Department, represented by the Director of the Internal Control Department, Brigadier General Saed Al-Saratawi, participated today, Monday, in the conference on "Integration of Roles in the Field of Preventing and Combating Corruption", which was held in Ahmed Al-Shuqairi Hall at the Presidential Headquarters in Ramallah, jointly organized by the Anti-Corruption Commission and the Financial and Administrative Control Bureau, and attended by Prime Minister Dr. Muhammad Mustafa, and a group of officials and dignitaries.
The Prime Minister, on behalf of President Mahmoud Abbas, stressed the importance of reform as a national priority to enhance the building of state institutions, stressing the role of integrity and transparency in achieving sustainable development. He also referred to the efforts made to improve institutional performance, enhance governance, and combat corruption.
For his part, the Chairman of the Anti-Corruption Commission, Dr. Raed Radwan, stressed the importance of integrating roles between community institutions to face challenges and achieve common goals, while the President of the Financial and Administrative Control Bureau, A. Amal Faraj, on the role of community oversight in enhancing citizens’ confidence in state institutions. The conference included three sessions that addressed governance, cooperation with law enforcement agencies, and the role of community oversight, with the aim of enhancing coordination between oversight institutions and raising the efficiency of government work to achieve sustainable development.
