Ramallah - 10/12/2024 The Public Relations and Media Department of the Customs Police, in cooperation with the Sharek Youth Forum, organized an awareness meeting for the "Tamayouz Winter University" in the Ramallah and Al-Bireh Governorate today, Tuesday, as part of the Youth Economic Empowerment Program.
This meeting comes within the program of the Customs Police to spread awareness of the nature of its work, its role and tasks in protecting markets, combating tax evasion and customs smuggling, combating illegal goods, and the impact of the Israeli war on the Palestinian economy, and emphasizing the need to submit reports in the event of detecting any illegal products in the markets, by contacting the toll-free number (132) or via the Customs Police's social media sites.
At the end of the meeting, a field tour was organized for the group at one of the Customs Police's checkpoints, where the participants learned about the mechanisms of field work and the procedures followed to ensure the protection of markets and support the national economy.
