The Customs Police Department dealt with 49 cases during the past week in cooperation with partner agencies, most notably as follows:
33 cases in cooperation with the Ministry of Finance with the aim of improving state revenues and providing the treasury with funds, during which they dealt with
- 27 tax and customs cases and transferring taxpayers to the ministry.
- 4 cases of goods coming from Israel that do not carry a clearing invoice.
- Two cases in the field of smuggled and prohibited tobacco.
13 cases in cooperation with the Ministries of National Economy and Health to prevent the spread of illegal goods and settlement goods and protect the food health of citizens, most notably: -
- Seizing approximately 368 kg of expired food items and destroying them.
- Seizure of approximately 130 kg of cleaning materials that violate mandatory instructions and were handed over to the competent authorities
- Seizure of 19 packages of food supplements banned from circulation and were handed over to the competent authorities
3 cases in cooperation with the Ministry of Communications and Digital Economy: -
- During which 63 unlicensed postal parcels and 47 banned Israeli communication chips were seized and were handed over to the competent authorities.
