Customs Police in Bethlehem receives the Governor of the Governorate to enhance joint cooperation

Ramallah_16/12/2024 The Director of the Customs Police Directorate in Bethlehem Governorate, Lieutenant Colonel Abdul Karim Basaytah, received today, Monday, the Governor of Bethlehem Governorate, brother Muhammad Taha, accompanied by the Editor-in-Chief of Ma'an News Agency, brother Nasser Al-Lahham, the Director of the Preventive Security Directorate, Major General Karam Al-Badarin, the Director General of Ma'an News Channel, brother Muhammad Faraj, and the Director of the Passports Office, brother Jamal Al-Lahham. The visit aims to enhance cooperation between the various institutions and to review the achievements of the Directorate.

During the visit, Lieutenant Colonel Basaytah reviewed the most prominent achievements of the Customs Police in protecting the national economy and providing food and health security for citizens. The role of the Directorate in organizing and facilitating commercial movement and combating the smuggling of goods that threaten the stability of the Palestinian market was also discussed. Lieutenant Colonel Basaytah confirmed that the Directorate is making great efforts to achieve these goals.
At the end of the visit, Bethlehem Governor, Mr. Mohammed Taha, and Ma'an News Agency Editor-in-Chief, Mr. Nasser Al-Lahham, presented an honorary shield to Lieutenant Colonel Abdul Karim Basaytah in appreciation of his distinguished efforts in serving the nation and the local community. The attendees praised the importance of cooperation between governmental and private institutions to enhance institutional work and achieve national goals, appreciating the effective role of the Customs Police in protecting the national economy and combating smuggling.
