Ramallah _ 9/26/2022 The customs police force participated in the signing ceremony of a charter of honor to enhance the presence of women in the public space and support their political activity, which was organized by the Center for Human Rights and Democracy Media “Shams” in cooperation with the Canadian Women’s Fund, today, Monday, in Ramallah and Al-Bireh.

In the presence of legal and national personalities, representatives of the security services, ministries, official bodies, women's institutions and civil society institutions.

The charter aims to promote respect for women’s ability and opportunities to reach decision-making positions in various sectors, by supporting their active presence in the public sphere, encouraging their political participation, and combating the oppressive culture of women in the environment and political culture. It is consistent with the lofty values ​​and ideals of the Palestinian people, and with international standards and best practices in accordance with internationally applicable human and women’s rights conventions.

At the end of the ceremony, the attendees participated in signing the honor charter.
