The Customs Police Department dealt with 37 cases during the past week in cooperation with partner agencies

The Customs Police Department dealt with 37 cases during the past week in cooperation with partner agencies, the most prominent of which are as follows:

22 cases in cooperation with the Ministry of Finance with the aim of improving state revenues and providing the treasury with funds, during which they dealt with
- 18 tax and customs cases and transferring taxpayers to the ministry.
- 4 cases of goods coming from Israel that do not carry a clearing invoice
12 cases in cooperation with the Ministries of National Economy and Health to prevent the spread of illegal goods and settlement goods and protect the food health of citizens, the most prominent of which are: -
- Seizing nearly 600 kg of expired food items and destroying them.
- Seizing 7.5 kg of stimulating creams banned from circulation and handing them over to the competent authorities.
One case in cooperation with the Ministry of Agriculture
- 7 olive trees were seized without agricultural transportation permits and were handed over to the competent authorities
One case in cooperation with the Ministry of Communications and Digital Economy, during which: -
- 3 postal parcels without licenses prohibited from circulation were seized and were handed over to the competent authorities.
One case in cooperation with the Environment Quality Authority
- 75 car tires containing harmful waste were seized and returned to their source.
In the field of awareness and communication with the public -
- The Customs Police Department provided several awareness lectures that benefited approximately 414 male and female students from various colleges, universities, schools and civil society institutions in the northern governorates throughout the week
