Ramallah - 12/19/2024 Based on the directives and supervision of the Commander of the Customs Police Department, Major General / Iyad Barakat: The department intensified its work and procedures in Jenin Governorate, in order to combat all forms of smuggling and protect markets from illegal goods and settlement goods, as it intensified its tours of the markets, inspected shops, set up barriers at the entrances and exits of the governorate, monitored and facilitated commercial movement, and ensured the safety of goods and commodities, despite the security challenges facing the governorate.
These measures come to protect and reassure citizens that the department is performing its role in protecting the national economy and providing food and health security.
This step was well received by citizens who expressed their satisfaction with the measures taken, and called on the Customs Police Department to continue its efforts to protect the markets, especially in light of the current crisis, stressing the importance of these measures in ensuring the safety of products and the stability of markets.
