Ramallah_12/30/2024 Under the patronage of Prime Minister Dr. Muhammad Mustafa: The Customs Police participated today, Monday, in a conference entitled "Regional and International Variables and Conflict Management Strategies", which was held at the Carmel Hotel in the city of Ramallah.
The two-day conference discussed the challenges facing the Palestinian people in light of regional and international political and economic changes, as Ahmed Majdalani, a member of the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization, stressed the need to maintain Palestinian national security amidst volatile regional conditions, noting that Palestine is not isolated from developments in the region. He also stressed the importance of maintaining internal stability and controlling security chaos.
For her part, Minister of Social Development Samah Hamad spoke on behalf of the Prime Minister, pointing out the aggravation of the suffering of the people of the Gaza Strip due to the ongoing aggression and siege they have been suffering from for more than 450 days. She called for concerted local and international efforts to support the steadfastness of the Palestinian people in light of these difficult circumstances.
The conference participants also discussed the changes in the tools of the Palestinian conflict, where the head of the Palestinian Center for Strategic Research and Studies, Muhammad al-Masri, reviewed the need to benefit from Palestinian and Arab thinkers to analyze the current stage and develop effective strategies for survival and steadfastness.
The researcher in Israeli affairs, Nazir Majali, pointed to the changes that occurred in Israel after October 7, and how the world began to see it differently after the recent events in Gaza, stressing the importance of reconsidering the political orientations of the Palestinians of 1948 and their influence on Israeli society.
For his part, the Deputy Director of the Egyptian Center for Thought and Studies, Muhammad Ibrahim, stressed the importance of setting clear Palestinian goals to confront current challenges, emphasizing the need for Palestinian and Arab unity to confront the Israeli project.
The conference sessions included various interventions by Palestinian and international experts on conflict management strategies and negotiation trends in light of international changes, with the aim of enhancing cooperation and exchanging expertise to confront the challenges facing the Palestinian people at this sensitive stage.
