Illegal Factory Seized for Counterfeiting Candy and Sweets in Nablus

Ramallah - March 9, 2025 - Nablus Governor Ghassan Daghlas oversaw the seizure of an illegal factory on Sunday that was counterfeiting candy and sweets and repackaging expired potato chips with falsified production and expiration dates before distributing them to markets at reduced prices.
The seizure took place in the presence of the Director of the Preventive Security Service in Nablus, Brigadier General Muhannad Marzouq; the Director of the Customs Police in Nablus, Colonel Fadi Abu Al-Qarn; the Director General of the Nablus Health Directorate, Dr. Ramez Dweikat; and the Acting Director of the National Economy in Nablus, Engineer Fahed Darwish.
Governor Daghlas praised the efforts of the Customs Police, the Preventive Security Service, and the security establishment, which led to the seizure of the factory, along with the relevant authorities. He emphasized that approximately six tons of counterfeit products were seized inside the factory, which pose a threat to citizens' health. Governor Douglas stressed that the competent authorities will continue to pursue anyone who tamperes with the health and safety of citizens, calling on citizens and merchants to exercise caution and refrain from purchasing products of unknown origin or those offered at suspicious prices.
