Ramallah_April 9, 2025 - Today, Wednesday, in Bethlehem Governorate, the Customs Police, in cooperation with the competent authority at the Ministry of National Economy, seized a vehicle loaded with approximately 2 tons of iron and wood used in construction. These materials are prohibited from circulation in the Palestinian market, as they come from a settlement, harm the national economy, and violate the law prohibiting the circulation and trade of settlement goods.
Given this, the competent authority at the Ministry of National Economy decided to seize the seized quantity and complete the necessary legal procedures accordingly.
In another context, during routine patrols at the Al-Ubeidiya checkpoint, the Customs Police seized approximately 100 kilograms of spoiled meat unfit for human consumption today, Wednesday, in Bethlehem Governorate. This meat showed signs of spoilage and emitted a foul odor. Consuming spoiled meat can pose significant health risks to consumers. Upon summoning the competent authority at the Ministry of Health, it was decided to destroy the seized items in a safe and healthy manner, and to complete the legal procedures accordingly.
