Ramallah - April 13, 2025 - The Commander of the Customs Police Force, Major General Iyad Barakat, met with the General Political Commissioner, Major General Anwar Rajab, today, Sunday, at the headquarters of the Political and National Guidance Authority in Ramallah.
During the meeting, Major General Barakat congratulated Major General Rajab on assuming his new position, wishing him success in his duties.
For his part, Major General Rajab thanked Major General Barakat for this generous visit, emphasizing the importance of the complementary relationship between the Political and National Guidance Authority and the Customs Police Force, and the importance of strengthening cooperation between the various branches of the security establishment to achieve goals that serve the nation and its citizens.
Major General Rajab pointed out the difficult circumstances the Authority has recently experienced, but the dedication and tireless work of its staff has contributed to the continuation of its work and the achievement of its goals of promoting the values of loyalty and belonging and confronting the occupation's narrative. For his part, Major General Barakat explained that the Political and National Guidance Authority is the backbone of the security services, which calls for restoring its status and strength, especially in light of the difficult circumstances it has recently experienced. He expressed the Customs Police's readiness to provide all support, services, and logistical needs, achieving integration and cooperation with all branches of the security establishment.
Major General Barakat praised the Homeland Protection Campaign, which aimed to enhance security and stability in the Jenin camp and combat all forms of chaos and legal violations.
In this context, Major General Rajab emphasized: "What comes before the Homeland Protection Campaign is not the same as what comes after it."
