Ramallah_April 29, 2025 - The Director of the Public Relations and Media Department at the Customs Police, Colonel Ibrahim Ayyash, and his accompanying delegation met today, Tuesday, with the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Local Government, Mr. Raed Muqbil, at the ministry's headquarters in Ramallah to discuss ways to enhance joint cooperation between the two sides.
During the meeting, Colonel Ayyash conveyed the greetings of the Commander of the Customs Police, Major General Iyad Barakat, praising the constructive relationship with the Ministry of Local Government and emphasizing the importance of continuing joint coordination in various areas of mutual interest. Mr. Muqbil welcomed Colonel Ayyash and the accompanying delegation, appreciating the efforts of the Customs Police in protecting the national economy and affirming the ministry's readiness to continue cooperation and intensify joint work to serve the public interest. During the meeting, both sides emphasized the importance of enhancing cooperation in raising awareness of the dangers of smuggling, through the implementation of joint programs with local and municipal councils. These programs aim to raise citizens' awareness of the negative effects of smuggling on the national economy and community security, and encourage local communities to actively contribute to combating it.
At the conclusion of the meeting, Colonel Ayash presented Mr. Muqbil with a shield in appreciation of his efforts and contributions in serving the nation and its citizens.
