Ramallah - 4/5/2025 Under the patronage of His Excellency President Mahmoud Abbas (Abu Mazen): The Customs Police, represented by Colonel Fadi Abu Al-Qarn, participated today, Sunday, in the memorial ceremony for the national activist Abdel-Ilah Al-Atira, a member of the Fatah Revolutionary Council and the Palestinian Central Council. The ceremony was held at Prince Turki bin Abdulaziz Theater at An-Najah National University.
The ceremony was widely attended by officials and members of the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization, the Central Committee, the Fatah Revolutionary Council, the Governor of Nablus, leaders and representatives of the security services, representatives of the Palestinian National Council, leaders and representatives of national action inside the occupied territories, a number of governors, representatives of official and unofficial institutions, the family of the deceased, and religious, national, women's, and trade union figures and activists. Mahmoud Al-Aloul, Deputy Chairman of the Fatah Movement, delivered a speech on behalf of His Excellency President Mahmoud Abbas. Wasel Abu Yousef, Secretary-General of the Palestine Liberation Front, delivered a speech on behalf of the Palestine Liberation Organization and the national action factions. Dr. Hussam Al-Shakhshir, Mayor of Nablus, delivered a speech on behalf of institutions and activists in Nablus. Muhammad Baraka, Chairman of the Follow-up Committee for Arab Citizens in the Interior, delivered a speech on behalf of the Palestinian people in the interior. In their speeches, former Prime Minister Dr. Muhammad Shtayyeh spoke on behalf of the friends of the late fighter, emphasizing that Al-Atira was a national figure par excellence, who carried the concerns of his people on his shoulders and remained steadfast in his national principles and values ​​until the last day of his life. They also emphasized that Al-Atira was not just a fighter, but a father, educator, and one of the most prominent men who served the Palestinian cause in all stages of the struggle.
