In coordination with the Ministry of Interior's Strategic Security Planning Unit, the Customs Authority held a Steering Committee meeting today to mobilize technical and financial support, follow up on strengthening joint working mechanisms, and develop institutional performance within the framework of the strategic plan and shared priorities.
The meeting discussed the most prominent challenges facing the Customs Authority's work, and reviewed the strategic work plan for the coming months, in line with national policies to combat smuggling and protect the national economy.
The meeting was attended by a number of representatives from the relevant departments of the Customs Authority, the Strategic Planning Unit at the Ministry of Interior, and representatives of the international community. The importance of continued cooperation and coordination to support the Customs Authority's future plans and projects was emphasized.
