Expired Food and Juices Seized in Bethlehem Governorate

Ramallah_3/6/2025 During inspection tours of shops and markets, the Customs Police, in cooperation with the competent authority at the Ministry of National Economy, seized approximately 70 kilograms of food and juices unfit for consumption today, Tuesday, in Bethlehem Governorate. These items were past their expiration date, as consuming them could pose health risks to consumers.
Given this, the competent authority decided to seize the seized quantity and refer the case to the Public Prosecution Office - Economic Crimes Prosecution Office, to complete the legal procedures.
In another context, and based on information received, the Customs Police, in cooperation with the competent authority at the Ministry of National Economy, seized today, Tuesday, in Bethlehem Governorate, a quantity of plastic bead toys prohibited from circulation in the Palestinian market due to the harm they cause to children's safety. The competent authority decided to destroy the quantity in a healthy and safe manner and complete the legal procedures.
