Customs Police Urges Citizens Not to Use Fireworks During the Announcement of High School Results

Press Release: Ramallah - July 26, 2025: As the announcement of the 2025 high school results approaches, the Customs Police congratulates our successful students and their families on this achievement. It recalls with sorrow and pain the students in the Gaza Strip who have been deprived of the joy of success, including martyrs and wounded. The number of high school martyrs since the beginning of the aggression on the Strip has exceeded 16,400, in addition to 137 martyrs in the West Bank. Approximately 46,000 students in the West Bank and 2,000 students from Gaza abroad took their exams, while thousands inside the Gaza Strip were denied them for the second year in a row. As we celebrate the success of our students, we affirm that this joy is only complete through our loyalty to the blood of the martyrs, and that our responsibility towards their cause grows deeper and more sincere. The agency warns against the dangers of using and distributing fireworks and firecrackers, as they pose a threat to public safety, civil peace and community security, and cause inconvenience to residents and society, especially in these sensitive national and humanitarian circumstances.
The Customs Control Department, along with its partners in the relevant security and civil authorities, will intensify its surveillance of shops and markets within the previously established plan, with stricter measures to prevent the sale and distribution of these hazardous materials. Legal action will be taken against violators in cooperation with the relevant authorities.
We congratulate the successful applicants and their families, and call on everyone to express their joy in a safe manner that reflects the culture and awareness of our people and preserves our lives and our society.
With the compliments of the Customs Control Department
