Major General Iyad Barakat Receives Master's Thesis from Major Louay Shalash on Cybersecurity

Ramallah - September 1, 2025 - Today, Monday, at his office in Ramallah, the Commander of the Customs Police Department, Major General Iyad Barakat, received a copy of the master's thesis prepared by the Director of the Information and Communications Technology Department at the Department, Major Louay Basem Shalash, entitled "Knowledge and Skills in the Field of Cybersecurity Applied in the Customs Police Department: A Case Study."
Major General Barakat praised Major Shalash's efforts, emphasizing the importance of scientific research in supporting institutional work and developing the Department's capabilities to address technical challenges, particularly in the field of cybersecurity. He also commended the role of the Information Technology Department in enhancing the Department's digital infrastructure to keep pace with global developments.
For his part, Major Shalash expressed his gratitude to the Department's leadership for their continued support, explaining that the thesis aims to highlight practical practices in protecting information systems and enhancing security awareness among Customs Police personnel.
