More than a ton of food unfit for human consumption seized in Ramallah and Al-Bireh Governorate

Ramallah_20/9/2025 Based on joint security efforts and a search warrant issued by the Public Prosecution, the Customs Police, in cooperation with the police, seized more than a ton of food, sweets, and candy unfit for human consumption in an apartment in the Ramallah and Al-Bireh Governorate in the early hours of Saturday morning. The confiscation was carried out inside an apartment in the Ramallah and Al-Bireh Governorate, due to the expiration of some items, some without production or expiration dates. A machine used to print expiration date labels for the purpose of tampering with them was also seized, posing a health risk to consumers.
After summoning the competent authority at the Ministry of Health, the confiscated quantity was ordered destroyed and the case was referred to the Public Prosecution Office for Economic Crimes to complete the necessary legal procedures.
The Customs Police Department urges citizens to report any materials suspected of being harmful to public health by calling the toll-free number (132) or via the agency's official social media platforms.
