Ramallah - September 21, 2025. Based on accurate intelligence information, the Customs Police, with support from the National Security and Police, and in cooperation with the Ministries of Health and National Economy, and the Factories Authority, seized approximately 17.5 tons of flour and semolina unfit for human consumption on Sunday in Jericho. The seized flour showed signs of spoilage and was infested with weevils. Initial inspections revealed that the factory was in violation of the law, lacked the most basic standards of hygiene and public health, did not meet approved specifications, and was illegally repackaging these materials.
In light of this, the competent authorities decided to seize the seized items, suspend the factory, and refer the case to the Anti-Economic Crimes Prosecution Office to complete the necessary legal procedures.
