Ramallah - October 17, 2025 - Today, Friday, the Customs Police seized two trucks loaded with 34 tons of construction waste coming from Israel, which was intended for burial on citizens' land in the Qalqilya Governorate. This waste poses a threat to the Palestinian environment.
After summoning the competent authority at the Environmental Quality Authority, it was decided to return the seized items to their source in accordance with international agreements and complete the legal procedures accordingly.
The Customs Police urges citizens to cooperate and report any attempts to bring in waste or debris from the Israeli side, to preserve environmental safety and public health.
