Ramallah - October 29, 2025 - Colonel Ahmed Bisharat, Assistant Commander of the Customs Police, representing the Commander of the Customs Police, Major General Iyad Barakat, participated in the unified response exercise "Bridges of Rescue," held under the patronage of His Excellency President Mahmoud Abbas at Al-Istiqlal University in Jericho. The exercise saw wide participation from various security agencies and official and national institutions.

The event was attended by His Excellency Dr. Hussein Hamayel, Governor of Jericho; His Excellency Major General Ziad Hab Al-Reeh, Minister of the Interior; Major General Akram Thawabteh, Director General of Civil Defense; Brigadier General Hafez Al-Rifai, Deputy Commander of the National Security Forces; as well as directors of security institutions in the Jericho and Jordan Valley Governorate, and a number of representatives from official and academic institutions.

This exercise is part of national efforts to strengthen the emergency and natural disaster response system, raise the level of field readiness among Civil Defense and security personnel, and enhance joint coordination among relevant authorities to ensure rapid response and protect the lives and property of citizens.
