Seven tons of construction waste from Israel seized in Bethlehem

 

Ramallah - 3/11/2025 During field monitoring and surveillance operations to combat smuggling, the Customs Police seized a truck loaded with seven tons of construction waste from Israel in Bethlehem on Monday. The waste, considered hazardous to the Palestinian environment, was intended to be buried on Palestinian-owned land in Bethlehem.

After summoning the relevant authorities from the Environmental Quality Authority and the Environmental Police, it was decided to return the seized waste to its source in accordance with international agreements and to complete the necessary legal procedures.
