Ramallah - 5/11/2025 During field monitoring and surveillance operations to combat smuggling, the Customs Police seized a truck loaded with 40 tons of construction waste from Israel in the early hours of Wednesday morning. The waste was intended for dumping on Palestinian-owned land in the Qalqilya Governorate and is considered hazardous to the Palestinian environment.

The seized quantity was impounded pending the arrival of representatives from the Environmental Quality Authority to complete the necessary legal procedures.

The Customs Police urges citizens to cooperate and report any attempts to import waste or debris from the Israeli side, in order to protect the environment and public health.
