The Customs Control Department handled 65 cases last week in cooperation with partner agencies.

The most prominent cases are as follows:

33 cases in cooperation with the Ministry of Finance, aimed at improving state revenues and bolstering the treasury. These cases involved:

- 21 tax and customs violations, with the taxpayers referred to the Ministry to complete their commercial transactions.

- 6 cases involving goods arriving from Israel without proper documentation.

- 6 cases related to smuggled and prohibited tobacco.

26 cases in cooperation with the Ministries of National Economy and Health, aimed at preventing the spread of illegal goods. The most prominent of these cases included:
- Seizure of approximately 1.25 tons of expired and unfit-for-human-consumption food and cosmetic products, which were subsequently destroyed.

- Seizure and destruction of 1,500 kg of dates deemed unfit for consumption due to signs of spoilage.

- Seizure and confiscation of one ton of cosmetics and olive oil that violated mandatory regulations, which were handed over to the relevant authorities. - 153 packages of prohibited sexual stimulants were seized and destroyed.

In one case, in cooperation with the Ministry of Agriculture, the following were seized:

- Approximately 5 tons of vegetables lacking agricultural transport permits were seized and handed over to the relevant authorities.

In five cases, in cooperation with the Ministry of Communications and Digital Economy, the following were seized:
- 144 mobile phones and 196 packages lacking licenses were seized and handed over to the relevant authorities.

- 40 Israeli SIM cards, prohibited from circulation, were seized and handed over to the relevant authorities.

The Customs Control Authority urges citizens to report smuggled, spoiled, or counterfeit goods, price manipulation, or monopolistic practices by calling the toll-free number 132 or contacting the Authority through its official Facebook page.
