Ramallah – 11/16/2025 The Commander of the Customs Police, Major General Iyad Barakat, and his accompanying delegation, conducted an inspection tour of the Customs Police Directorate in Salfit Governorate on Sunday. During the visit, he reviewed the workflow and field efforts undertaken by the agency's personnel in combating smuggling and protecting national products.

During the visit, Major General Barakat commended the efforts of the field teams, praising their role in strengthening market protection and ensuring the enforcement of laws in a way that serves the citizens and supports the Palestinian economy.

Major General Barakat also provided a number of directives aimed at improving performance and enhancing coordination and cooperation within the security establishment. He emphasized the importance of continuing to work with a spirit of responsibility and dedication to maintain the economic system and effectively address field challenges.
