Ramallah, November 18, 2025 - Major General Iyad Barakat, Commander of the Customs Police, received Major General Abdul Majeed Hajja, Secretary General of the Palestinian Olympic Committee, at the Customs Police headquarters in Ramallah and Al-Bireh on Tuesday. Hajja conveyed greetings from the President of the Palestinian Olympic Committee, Lieutenant General Jibril Rajoub, and commended the vital role played by the Customs Police in supporting and enhancing the presence of Palestinian sports.

During the meeting, Major General Hajja emphasized the importance of strengthening joint efforts and developing mechanisms for ongoing cooperation between the two sides. This cooperation aims to support and elevate the level of Palestinian sports, in accordance with the directives of President Mahmoud Abbas ("Abu Mazen") to advance Palestinian sports and enhance their Arab and international presence.

For his part, Major General Barakat welcomed Major General Hajja, praising the significant efforts exerted by the President of the Palestinian Olympic Committee, Lieutenant General Jibril Rajoub, in developing sports and achieving remarkable accomplishments despite the challenges. He also praised the growing international sports movement supporting the Palestinian cause, stressing the readiness of the Customs Control Authority to enhance cooperation and coordination in a way that serves Palestinian sports and strengthens its presence on the international stage.
