Ramallah, November 18, 2025 - Major General Iyad Barakat, Commander of the Customs Police, conducted an inspection tour of the Customs Police Directorate in Nablus Governorate on Tuesday. He was accompanied by a delegation from the agency's leadership. The purpose of the visit was to review the workflow and the field efforts undertaken by agency personnel in combating smuggling and protecting Palestinian products.

During the visit, Major General Barakat commended the efforts of the field teams, praising their role in strengthening market protection and ensuring the enforcement of laws, which contributes to serving citizens and supporting the Palestinian economy.

Major General Barakat also provided directives aimed at improving performance and enhancing coordination and cooperation within the security establishment. He emphasized the importance of continuing to work with a sense of responsibility and dedication to maintain the economic system and effectively address field challenges.
