Ramallah - 11/24/2025 The Anti-Smuggling Committee, comprised of representatives from the Customs Police, the Palestinian Police, the Preventive Security Service, the General Intelligence Service, and the Ministries of Agriculture and National Economy, held an important meeting at the Customs Police headquarters in Hebron on Monday.
This meeting is part of joint efforts to combat the sale of adulterated olive oil in Hebron markets, which poses a health risk to citizens and undermines one of the most important national products.
During the meeting, attendees discussed a range of practical measures and plans to curb the spread of this phenomenon. Key among these was the intensification of field and monitoring inspections of shops and farmers selling the oil, as well as strengthening cooperation among relevant authorities to ensure consumer protection and maintain the quality of the local product.
