The Customs Control Department handled 59 cases last week in cooperation with partner agencies.

The most prominent cases are as follows:

38 cases in cooperation with the Ministry of Finance, aimed at improving state revenues and bolstering the treasury. These cases resulted in the seizure of:

- 29 tax and customs violations, with the taxpayers referred to the Ministry to complete their commercial transactions.

- 4 cases involving goods arriving from Israel without proper documentation.

- 5 cases related to smuggled and prohibited tobacco.

15 cases in cooperation with the Ministries of National Economy and Health to prevent the spread of illegal goods. The most prominent of these cases include:

- The seizure of approximately 460 expired and unfit-for-human-consumption food and cosmetic products, which were subsequently destroyed.

- The seizure of 7,624 liters of energy drinks and 270 kg of olive oil that violated mandatory regulations. These items were handed over to the relevant authorities. - 30 kg and 88 packages of prohibited sexual stimulants and slimming products were seized and handed over to the relevant authorities.

Three cases were handled in cooperation with the Ministry of Agriculture, resulting in the seizure of:

- More than 4 tons of olive oil and 3 tons of vegetables lacking agricultural transport permits, which were handed over to the relevant authorities.

Two cases were handled in cooperation with the Ministry of Communications and Digital Economy and the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority, resulting in the seizure of:

- 430 mobile phones on which customs duties had not been paid, which were handed over to the relevant department at the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority.

- 6 packages lacking the necessary permits, which were handed over to the relevant authorities.

One case was handled in cooperation with the Environmental Quality Authority, resulting in the seizure of:

- 30 tons of construction waste originating from Israel, which violates the regulations and laws in force in the State of Palestine, and was returned to its source. The Customs Authority calls on citizens to report smuggled, spoiled, or counterfeit goods, price manipulation of products, or monopolies by calling the toll-free number 132 or through the Authority’s official page on the social networking site (Facebook).
