Frozen (Imported) Chicken Meat Seized in Tulkarm Governorate

Ramallah, December 23, 2025 - In a joint security operation, the Customs Police and Preventive Security forces, supported by the National Security Forces and in cooperation with the relevant departments in the Ministries of Health and Agriculture, seized approximately 5.5 tons of frozen (imported) chicken meat from a poultry shop in Tulkarm Governorate on Tuesday. The chicken meat lacked labeling in Arabic that clearly displayed all essential information such as expiration date, country of origin, ingredients, storage instructions, product name, and other details. Additionally, approximately 1.25 tons of spoiled frozen chicken meat, unfit for human consumption due to visible signs of spoilage, were confiscated.

Consequently, the relevant authorities ordered the destruction of the unfit quantity, the impounding of the unlabeled portion, and the closure of the shop until the necessary legal procedures are completed.
