Ramallah – January 5, 2026 As part of his ongoing field visits, Major General Iyad Barakat, Commander of the Customs Police, inspected operations today, Monday, at the Customs Police Directorate in Bethlehem Governorate. The visit aimed to gain firsthand insight into the efforts undertaken by the force's personnel in the field.

This tour underscores the importance of continuous communication between the leadership and the directorates, and provides an opportunity to meet with personnel of all ranks.

During his visit, Major General Barakat emphasized the importance of intensifying efforts to protect the national economy and the Palestinian market, ensure food and health security for citizens, regulate and facilitate trade, and combat all forms of smuggling.
