Nearly 4 Tons of Expired Butter Seized in Hebron

 

Ramallah, January 29, 2026 - Based on information received, and as part of ongoing efforts to protect public health and safety, the Customs Police seized nearly 4 tons of butter used in pastries and sweets at a bakery in Hebron on Thursday. The butter was deemed unfit for human consumption due to its expiration date, and its consumption could pose significant health risks to consumers.

Following a technical report from the Ministry of National Economy, the seized quantity was ordered destroyed, and the case was referred to the Public Prosecution – Economic Crimes Prosecution – to complete the necessary legal procedures.
