Approximately 20 Tons of Expired Legumes and Infant Formula Seized in Southern Hebron Governorate

 

Ramallah - February 1, 2026 In a joint security operation with the Preventive Security Service, the Customs Police and Preventive Security Service, in cooperation with the Hebron Governorate and the relevant department of the Southern Hebron Health Directorate, seized approximately 17 tons of legumes and 3 tons of infant formula unfit for human consumption. The seizure took place in a warehouse in southern Hebron Governorate on Sunday. The products were deemed unfit due to their expiration and improper storage, posing significant health risks to consumers.

Consequently, the relevant authorities ordered the destruction of the seized goods using safe and sanitary methods and referred the case to the Economic Crimes Prosecution Office to complete the necessary legal procedures.
