Approximately 24.5 Tons of Expired Imported Cheese Seized in Hebron Governorate

 

Ramallah, February 5, 2026 – In a joint security operation, the Customs Police and Preventive Security Service, in cooperation with the Hebron Governorate and relevant departments in the Ministries of National Economy and Industry, seized approximately 24.5 tons of imported cheese unfit for human consumption today, Thursday, in a warehouse in Hebron Governorate. The cheese had expired, and its consumption could pose significant health risks to consumers.

Consequently, the relevant authorities ordered the destruction of the entire quantity using safe and hygienic methods and referred the case to the Economic Crimes Prosecution Office to complete the necessary legal procedures.
