Approximately 400 kg of Unfit Meat Seized in Hebron Governorate

 

Ramallah – February 5, 2026 – In a joint security operation, the Customs Police and Preventive Security Service, supported by the Joint Force, and in cooperation with the Hebron Governorate and relevant departments in the Ministries of National Economy, Health, and Agriculture, as well as the Hebron Municipality's Veterinary Department, seized approximately 400 kg of meat unfit for human consumption from a butcher shop in Hebron Governorate on Thursday. The meat showed signs of spoilage, and its consumption could pose significant health risks to consumers.

Consequently, the relevant authorities ordered the destruction of the meat using safe and sanitary methods and referred the case to the Economic Crimes Prosecution Office to complete the necessary legal procedures.
