Customs Police Meet with Representatives of Al-Bireh Associations to Discuss Cooperation in Awareness Campaigns

 

Ramallah - February 9, 2026 Awareness and guidance officers from the Customs Police met with representatives of several Al-Bireh associations (Al-Bireh Sons Charitable Society, Deir Tarif, Lifta, Anaba Charitable Society, and the Women's Union) on Monday at the Al-Bireh Municipality to discuss ways to cooperate in implementing community and awareness activities.

During the meeting, the officers discussed the Customs Police's program to raise awareness of the agency's role and responsibilities in protecting the national economy, combating tax evasion and customs smuggling, and fighting illegal goods. They also emphasized the importance of cooperation from citizens and institutions in reporting any non-compliant products via the toll-free number (132) or through the agency's official social media platforms.

For their part, the attendees stressed the importance of strengthening the partnership between the Customs Police and civil society organizations to spread awareness of economic and health laws and to promote volunteer work and community initiatives aimed at serving citizens.
