A store selling expired food products was shut down in Jenin Governorate.

 

Ramallah - 9/2/2026 Based on a decision by the Economic Crimes Prosecution Office, the Customs Police, in cooperation with the Palestinian Police and the Ministry of National Economy, closed a store in Jenin Governorate on Monday for selling expired food products.

This action followed the discovery of quantities of food unfit for human consumption, mostly children's products, inside the store.

In a separate incident, during routine inspections of shops, the Customs Police, in cooperation with the Jenin Municipality's Food Control Department, seized approximately 132 kilograms of expired food and cleaning products.

The relevant authorities ordered the destruction of the seized items and the completion of all necessary legal procedures.
