Ramallah – February 9, 2026 The Director of the Customs Police in Jericho and the Jordan Valley, Lieutenant Colonel Saed Jibril, received Jericho and Jordan Valley Governor Dr. Hussein Hamayel, Jericho District Commander Colonel Mutab Atawneh, security officials, and the head of the Chamber of Commerce in the governorate at his office on Monday.

During the meeting, the Governor praised the significant national role played by the Customs Police in combating counterfeit and illegal goods and confronting smuggled materials, emphasizing that these efforts contribute to protecting public health and strengthening the foundations of the national economy.

For his part, Lieutenant Colonel Jibril conveyed to the Governor the greetings of the Commander of the Customs Police, Major General Iyad Barakat, commending the Governor's efforts in serving the people of the governorate and developing joint work between institutions.
