Ramallah – February 10, 2026 – As part of joint security operations and ongoing efforts to protect public health and safety, the Customs Police and Preventive Security forces seized a large quantity of dates unfit for human consumption at a factory in Jericho Governorate on Tuesday. The dates were found to be spoiled due to improper storage, which had led to signs of spoilage and decay. Furthermore, the dates were being used in manufacturing and processed into date paste, posing a direct threat to consumer health.

Following a visit to the Ministry of Health, the relevant authorities ordered the factory to cease operations, impounded the seized quantity, and referred the case to the Economic Crimes Prosecution for further legal proceedings.
