Ramallah – February 12, 2026: Based on information received, the Customs Police, in cooperation with the Preventive Security Service, the relevant departments in the Ministry of National Economy, and the Jenin Municipality Health Department, seized approximately 550 kg of expired cosmetics in Jenin Governorate on Thursday. The products were deemed unfit for use due to their expiration dates and the health risks they pose to citizens.
Consequently, the relevant authorities ordered the confiscation of the seized quantity and referred the case to the Economic Crimes Prosecution for further legal proceedings.
In a separate incident, during inspection tours of shops and markets, the Customs Police, in cooperation with the Jenin Municipality Health Department's Food Control Division, seized over 200 kg of expired food and cleaning products in Jenin on Thursday. These products were deemed unfit for human consumption due to their expiration dates, and their consumption or use could result in significant health risks to consumers. Therefore, the competent authority decided to destroy the quantity in a healthy and safe manner and to complete the legal procedures properly.
