Ramallah - February 12, 2026: During inspection tours of shops and markets, the Customs Police, in cooperation with security forces and relevant authorities in the Public Safety Committee, seized approximately 150 kg of food unfit for human consumption in southern Hebron on Thursday. The food had expired, posing significant health risks to consumers.
Accordingly, the relevant authorities ordered the destruction of the seized quantity using safe and hygienic methods and the completion of all necessary legal procedures.
In a separate incident, acting on information received, the Customs Police and Preventive Security, in cooperation with the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority, seized 19 mobile phones from a mobile phone shop north of Hebron on Thursday. The phones were not registered with the official system and had not been cleared through customs.
The Telecommunications Regulatory Authority was summoned and decided to impound the seized quantity and complete the necessary legal procedures.
